Liverpool faces Girona in the Champions League this week with the Reds set to return to action after their Merseyside derby clash with Everton was postponed at the weekend.
Arne Slot has a 100 per cent record in Europe so far since he took over from Jurgen Klopp in the summer and the Liverpool boss will be hoping that is further extended. A win would put the Reds on the brink of qualifying for the knockout phase of the new-look UEFA tournament without the need for the play-off round in early 2025.
Ahead of traveling to Spain, the Liverpool players were put through their paces in Kirkby in front of the media. Here's what Liverpool.com spotted during the open training session.
Liverpool injury latest
On the injury front, Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota were both involved in the session but there was no sign Federico Chiesa. Slot will offer the latest on whether the duo who were present are able to play in the Girona game in his press conference at 6.30pm UK time this evening (1.30pm ET).
Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley and Kostas Tsimikas are all still some way off a return, while Alexis Mac Allister is suspended for the matches with Girona and Fulham. The Argentine has reached the yellow card suspension point in both the Champions League and the Premier League. Tyler Morton was missing too.

Young talents join the group
Slot's roster was bolstered by young talents Rio Ngumoha, James McConnell, Jayden Danns, Trey Nyoni, James Norris and Amara Nallo here, with some of those likely to be in the matchday squad in Spain. Some of those who aren't could play in the UEFA Youth League earlier in the day against Girona, which is the Reds' U19s' final match in the group phase of that competition.
Ngumoha, in particular, is one to watch for his dribbling skills and talent with the ball at his feet. Nyoni is another who is hugely talented. Both could perhaps get some minutes when Liverpool plays Accrington Stanley at Anfield in the FA Cup in mid-January.

Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah all smiles
The hard-hitting tactical work and real work ahead of each game takes place behind closed doors without the cameras. Here, the players did some gentle warm-up jogs and then moved into a passing drill.
Diogo Jota looked delighted to be back, while Mohamed Salah was his usual smiley self. Amid claims over the weekend about his contract situation, nothing is distracting him from the task in hand.
The next one is Girona, where Salah could move level with Billy Liddell in the Liverpool goalscoring charts if he can net a brace. Given his current form, you wouldn't want to bet against it.
