Beppe Bergomi believes Inter Milan’s “patience” was key against Parma, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan was the “extra man.”

Inter got an important win against Parma in Serie A to kick off the weekend.
The Nerazzurri needed three points to keep pace in the title race after the unexpected postponement of their clash with Parma the previous weekend.
And that is exactly what they got.
It wasn’t exactly easy for Inter. Parma have proven tricky opposition for plenty of Serie A’s big teams this season, even securing wins over the likes of AC Milan and Lazio.
And the goal that Inter conceded late in the match was a testament to the Gialloblu’s ruthless streak on the counterattack.
But Inter largely controlled the match. They had the majority of possession and created far more chances than Parma.
The Nerazzurri never really tried to force the issue. But the chances arrived, and they got a convincing victory in the end.
Bergomi: “Patience” Key For Inter Vs Parma, Mkhitaryan “The Extra Man”
Legendary former Inter captain Bergomi gave his verdict on Friday’s match.
“Inter did very well against Parma,” he said.
“Lautaro was the only one whose performance was a dark spot. He had three chances that he didn’t score, but he remains a vital player who always works for the team.”
“Inter were patient,” Bergomi noted. “They waited for the right moment to strike.”
“The goal came in the 40th minute after they’d already created several dangerous situations,” he noted.
“Despite the fact that Parma had tried to use a tactic that was similar to the one Milan had.”
“And then Mkhitaryan was certainly the extra man,” Bergomi added.
“Inter played a truly convincing match,” he summed up.
