Former Premier League defender Jamie Carragher has praised Cole Palmer after his performance for Chelsea against Tottenham on Sunday.
Palmer and Chelsea won 4-3 after going 2-0 in the 11th minute as they came back to beat a vulnerable Spurs team at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It left Enzo Maresca‘s side second in the Premier League table just four points off league leaders Liverpool who have a game in hand after the Merseyside Derby was cancelled due to Storm Darragh.
The Blues hit back in the 17th minute with an excellent goal from Jadon Sancho before Cole Palmer scored two penalties to give them the lead in the second half.
Enzo Fernandez then made it 4-2 in the 71st minute before Heung-Min Son scored a consolation in the 96th minute.

After the game, Jamie Carragher was full of praise for Palmer who not only scored twice, but was instrumental in Chelsea’s build up play.
He said on Sky Sports: “You fear when he’s [Cole Palmer] on the ball. If you look at his almost 18 months at Chelsea, I don’t think there’s been a player in the Premier League that has performed better than him.
“When you think of Chelsea over the years and some of their great players, like Zola and Hazard…I think he’s probably done more than Zola in these 18 months.He’s probably on the same sort of level as what
“He could take Chelsea to a title, whether its this season, or the next two or three seasons. He’s going to go down as one of the greatest ever players to play for Chelsea. He’s a very very special player.”

There is no doubting that Carragher is right about how good Palmer has been in the Premier League over the last 18 months for the Blues.
The England international has scored 26 goals in 61 appearances for the Blues which for a midfielder is some return.
Palmer also has 21 goals and he has turned the Blues into what this season feels like outside title contenders with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.
