La Liga giants Barcelona will imminently announce a new long-term contract renewal for a key member of the club’s youth setup.
The player in question? Diego Kochen.
The name of goalkeeper Kochen will of course be a familiar one to close followers of Barcelona.
This comes with the 19-year-old, currently registered with Albert Sánchez’s Barca Atlètic, having been called up to first-team duties on a number of occasions this season.
Kochen is also already an established senior international with the USA, a testament to the talents boasted by the young shot-stopper.
In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of the terms having been put in place to lock Kochen down for the foreseeable future in Catalunya’s capital.
As per a report from **[Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20241209/1002367977/kochen-firma-hoy-renovacion-2028.html)**, a contract renewal through 2028 was actually agreed upon by Barcelona and the American all the way back in February.
And, later today, Kochen will at last put pen to paper on as much, with an official announcement to follow in short order.
