Ben Doak has enjoyed his first real taste of senior football this season out on loan at Middlesbrough, with the Liverpool teenager impressing.
The Scotland international has become an integral part of Michael Carrick’s first-team plans, with Doak scoring one goal and assisting another five in 14 Championship appearances, with Middlesbrough in the race for Premier League promotion.
With Doak recently saying the Championship felt easy, though, there has been some worries amongst Middlesbrough fans that Liverpool could decide to bring the 19-year-old winger back to Anfield in the January transfer window.
Yet the Riverside Stadium team seemingly know what Liverpool will decide to do with Doak already next month.

Middlesbrough confident Doak will not be recalled by Liverpool
According to Teeside Live, Middlesbrough have the belief that Liverpool will not exercise their recall option for Doak in the January transfer window, with the teenage winger expected to remain with the Championships side for the remainder of the season.
With Doak playing regular football for one of the best sides in the English second-tier, the decision to recall the Scottish international would be a strange one on Liverpool’s behalf given how much the winger is developing under Carrick.
Indeed, Liverpool have had immense success over the years in sending out talented youngsters to Championship and League One sides, with Conor Bradley one such player who is now a regular for the Reds after spending time out on loan in the EFL.

Doak is right where he’s supposed to be this season
Doak’s form has of course given some fans the idea that the youngster could already be good enough to play for a lower-league Premier League team, with Leicester City one of the teams interested in the forward this summer.
Yet rushing Doak to play in the Premier League could be a poor decision from Liverpool, and one that the Reds seem to acknowledge with the Scottish teenager set to remain with Middlesbrough for the remainder of the season.
And with the forward starting to win some serious praise for his performances in the Championship, Doak could return to Liverpool next summer more than ready for life in the Premier League, where the winger could be a handful for a number of clubs.
