With Manchester City in the midst of a brutal injury crisis, Juventus have been handed a double injury boost of their own ahead of the two sides meeting in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening.

City could be without seven players for the trip to Turin, as Rodri, Oscar Bobb, Mateo Kovacic and Nathan Ake are ruled out with injury, while doubts remain over the fitness of Phil Foden, John Stones and Manu Akanji.

Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku both came on from the bench in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Palace but Guardiola admitted post-match that both players had suffered from a knock which meant they were unable to start a game.

Pep Guardiola's side head to northern Italy in 17th place in the expanded Champions League table and have work to do in their final three league phase matches to ensure their passage through to the knockout stages.

But they do so on the back of just one win in their last nine matches in all competitions as they continue to navigate their way through their current injury crisis.

Juventus have an injury crisis of their own, though Bianconeri boss Thiago Motta has been handed a double injury boost ahead of the visit of City.

Midfield pair Douglas Luiz and Weston McKennie have both been passed fit, according to reports, and could be ready to play a part against City on Wednesday.

Former City midfielder Luiz has been out of action since October and is still waiting for his move to Juventus to really catch fire following his summer transfer from Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, McKennie, who struggled in a loan spell in England with Leeds United, has since re-established himself in the Juve squad and he will be keen to prove his doubters wrong against the Premier League champions.
