Bethany England has claimed the HSBC Player of the Match award after she spearheaded our charge to three points against Everton on Sunday afternoon in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Netting her third and fourth goals of the campaign, our captain came top of our Player of the Match poll hosted exclusively on our Official App to claim her fourth award of the season already.

Always leading by example on the pitch, Bethany capitalised on a positive start at Brisbane Road to break the deadlock just after the midway point of the first half, showcasing her striker's instinct inside the box to thrash home from close range.
Having seen her opener cancelled out by a fantastic strike from Sara Holmgaard just five minutes before the break, our number nine was called upon in the early stages of the second half and, despite the pressure on her shoulders, she calmly converted from the penalty spot, sending her spot-kick into the top right corner to reinstate our lead.
The brace from our number nine now moves her within four goals of becoming the WSL’s all-time leading goalscorer – with Manchester City’s Vivianne Miedema currently on 81 goals.
