Diego Kochen is set to commit his long-term future to Barcelona and sign a contract with the club that runs until 2028.
The United States stopper’s existing deal is due to expire at the end of the season but he is set to continue with the Catalan giants, according to ESPN.
Kochen is yet to make his senior debut for Barcelona but will be hoping that it’s not too far away.
[Hansi Flick has taken a check on the youngster in first-team training this season](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/10/16/24270793/hansi-flick-takes-check-on-diego-kochen-after-barcelona-goalkeeper-returns-from-injury) and he has been tipped to be the long-term replacement to Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The Germany is currently sidelined with a serious knee injury, meaning Inaki Pena has taken over as No. 1, with Wojciech Szczesny brought in as back-up.
Yet Pena’s future at the club is not guaranteed as things stand. His current deal runs until 2026 and Barcelona are yet to offer an extension.
