Carney Chukwuemeka has 'already said yes' to a January transfer to AC Milan, according to Italian media.

The Chelsea midfielder is struggling for minutes at Stamford Bridge. Chukwuemeka was part of the Blues' 'Bomb Squad' in the summer, but he, along with Ben Chilwell, failed to secure a transfer away from the club.

Signed from Aston Villa for €8 million as a highly-rated prospect in 2022, injuries have stunted the 21-year-old's development. Under new coach Enzo Maresca, Chukwuemeka is barely even part of the 'B Team,' let alone the Italian's first-choice line-up.

The Austria-born midfielder has only played a measly 63 minutes across all competitions this term, coming off the bench for brief cameos in the Conference League and the Carabao Cup.

Chukwuemeka has not been part of a single Premier League matchday squad and his time at Chelsea is clearly coming to an end.

Chukwuemeka 'says yes' to AC Milan

Calciomercato now claims that AC Milan have rekindled their interest in the youngster. In fact, the Italian outlet goes so far as to assert that Chukwuemeka has already agreed to move to the Rossoneri.

"The former Aston Villa player has already said yes and now he is just waiting for the green light to fly to Milan and wear the red and black shirt of the Diavolo," the report states.

It is claimed that Chukwuemeka is a 'real obsession' of technical director Geoffrey Moncada, who already tried to bring him to the San Siro in previous windows. Before, however, Chelsea were only willing to sanction a permanent exit of the player.

Milan are once again ready to attempt an initial loan move with the option to buy Chukwuemeka, though it is unclear whether the Blues will agree to this. The report also asserts that Celtic are vying for his signature.
