Nicolas Jackson's mentality clear to see after Cole Palmer equaliser for Chelsea

It may have gone unnoticed by many - and understandably so given the magnitude of the moment.

Cole Palmer just struck from the penalty spot to level the game for Chelsea away at Tottenham, completing the visitors' comeback from being two goals down. Sending Fraser Forster the wrong way, Palmer then peeled off to his right to join in the celebrations with the away supporters in the corner of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Palmer was mobbed by the majority of his teammates but not all of them. Nicolas Jackson, having the winning mentality he does, instead chose to go and pick the ball up from inside of the net and sprinted back to the centre circle to try and get the match restarted as soon as possible.

A draw away at Spurs? No, not good enough - not for Jackson. Not for Chelsea, really. He wanted more and they wanted more. They both got more eventually.

Around 12 minutes after Palmer levelled the match from the spot, Enzo Fernandez struck to put Chelsea 3-2 up in north London. That was Jackson's time to celebrate - there was no need to go and pick the ball up from the back of the net this time around.

Three minutes after Fernandez's goal, Jackson was taken off and replaced by Christopher Nkunku. It was not Jackson's best day in terms of his all-round performance and the striker, who has scored eight goals in the Premier League this season to date, did not look too pleased to being taken off.

A clip has now emerged online of Enzo Maresca spotting Jackson walking on the pitch on his own at full-time. His body language suggests he was still quite frustrated with his own performance against Spurs but Maresca sprinted over to his striker to put his arm around him and have a chat.

So many good things are happening at Chelsea right now. While these two small details might not seem a lot, it just emphasises firstly the mentality the players have got at the moment and also the togetherness within the squad.
