NBA fines Wolves guard Anthony Edwards for swearing

Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards may be considered the next face of the NBA but he continues to fined by the league.

On Monday, the league announced it's fining the young guard $25,000 for swearing during interviews after Minnesota's Dec. 6 win over Golden State.

Edwards dropped a couple of F-bombs in the locker room, although the league didn't say exactly what the fine was for, chalking it up only to "profane language during a media interview."

He's no stranger to NBA fines, as the league has already penalized him several times this year for various comments and gestures.

For a player on a $245 million contract, the punishments aren't very severe and don't seem to be having much effect on the 23-year-old, who frequently is very candid with his thoughts. That authenticity and charisma also makes him one of the more entertaining players to listen to and adds to his star appeal, but the league keeps handing down fines when he gets too forthright.

Edwards is still young enough to learn his lesson and adjust but it'll be interesting to see if the NBA maintains its stance as the Wolves star continues his ascension and draws more eyes to the sport.
