Things are going incredibly well for Chelsea at the moment.
They’re racking up wins on all fronts, they’ve established themselves in second place in the table after Arsenal’s draw, and the questions about being in the title race are looking less and less far-fetched.
We’re loving life, and the games can’t come soon enough at the moment. We’re blowing teams away and have the depth to keep our team fresher than most of our opposition.
There is only one slightly tricky issue this week – a trip to Kazakhstan to face Astana in the Conference League. Of course it should be an easy win – and in fact we don’t even need to get a result given our lead in that competition.

Chelsea team celebrate in a group huddle after Conference League game.
But still, a chunk of the squad are going to have to make that long, long journey, and when asked about it, defender Benoit Badiashile made the feelings of most of the group pretty clear:
“I don’t know [if I’ll be on the plane]. You have to ask the boss. It’s far, far away,” the Frenchman responded when asked about the game by NBC Sport.
We can imagine that Enzo Maresca will do all he can to protect his regulars, but some are going to be on that flight, that’s just the reality.

Badiashile doesn’t rule out Chelsea title charge
Badiashile also had some interesting general comments about the mentality and the belief in a group now looking like they’re in a title race, no matter what their manager says:
“The gaffer gives us good spirit and a winning mentality. We try to improve day by day and at the moment we are good,” the defender explained.
“I don’t know. We’ll see at the end of the season but for now I can’t say that we’re competing for the title. When we are Chelsea, we like to be at the top.”
