**Man United**conceded two goals from corners, while their attackers failed to put on a display in north London. The Red Devils suffered their first defeat of the Ruben Amorim era last week. Losing 2-0 to **Arsenal**on Wednesday.
The first half wasn’t so intense. Both of the team lacked quality chances. Gunners winger Gabriel Martinelli missed a good opportunity as he fired a shot when a cool head was required. On the other hand, United fullback Diogo Dalot blasted the ball wide when given space in the opponent area.
There’s no doubt that Man United defenders did a good job, especially against a squad that had 13 goals in their previous three games. However, Arsenal’s crucial corners became the difference between the two sides in the second half.
Jurrien Timber opened the scoresheet in the 54th minute through a corner. It was also the game’s first shot on goal. The defender nodded home a superbly placed Declan Rice delivery, as Arsenal’s set-piece magic paid off once more.
Ruben Amorim was on a 34-game league unbeaten run before facing Arsenal on Wednesday.

William Saliba then joined in the party in the 73rd minute. As he finished from close range after Thomas Partey nodded back Bukayo Saka’s corner. Though it wasn’t intentional by the French center-back.

Author’s opinion :
This game was a early reality check for Ruben Amorim. But he and his side must move on from this defeat asap. The Premier League top 10 spot is on the line and Man United must take everything out of the upcoming games to make a comeback in the season, or it will be too late.
