The race for this season’s MVP is on, and there are several players attempting to win the coveted NBA prize.
Right now, it seems that two stars are the frontrunners to be named MVP: Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Both stars have won MVP before, with Jokic claiming the trophy just last season.
When laying out their numbers, StatMuse asked fans who was their favorite to win MVP, and there were many responses online.

Jokic is putting up 32.3 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 10.2 assists per game, while his Nuggets are the seventh seed in the West.
Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo is scoring 32.5 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 6.2 assists, and the Bucks are sixth in the East.
Some people feel that Jokic will walk away as MVP once again because he is having “the single best individual year in the history of basketball.”
His numbers are indeed jaw-dropping, but there is a chance that league fatigue will prevent him from being named MVP again.
Not an exaggeration, Jokic is having the single best individual year in the history of basketball and it would be a shame if the voters found a way to do him dirty like in 2022-23 when he had a top 5 season ever and didn’t win MVP.

Many people are shocked by what Jokic is doing, and they cannot believe he is scoring so much.
They also cannot believe that the Nuggets are still struggling while Jokic is playing like this.
No way those are Jokic’s averages wtf

Meanwhile, there are others who think that Antetokounmpo should be MVP.
They feel this way because he is scoring a lot of buckets and playing defense as well.
As great as he is, some people criticize Jokic because of his lack of defense, and they feel that makes a difference in the MVP race.
Giannis he does this while playing defense

Giannis is far better defensively

The truth is that there is still a long way to go before the league chooses the MVP.
Either of these stars could win or someone else could get in the mix and take home the trophy.
No matter what happens and no matter how their teams are doing, these two players are blowing fans away with their numbers in 2024-25.
