Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has admitted he could see himself playing in Spain one day. The Argentine arrived at Anfield last year from Brighton for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £45million.
Mac Allister has been a key player under Arne Slot and previous Reds boss Jurgen Klopp last season. The 25-year-old has made 21 appearances under Slot across all competitions so far this season, with his performances playing a key role in Liverpool's Premier League title bid.
But Mac Allister has now opened the door to a move abroad one day. When asked by Spanish publication AS if he could see himself playing in Spain, the midfielder was open to the idea but admitted he is perfectly happy on Merseyside.

"Yes, why not? It's a country I like a lot and I've visited it several times, and, above all, because of the language and the culture, it's very similar to Argentina," he said.
"I would definitely like to play in Spain one day. But right now, I'm very comfortable at Liverpool and I don't think about what might happen in the future."
When asked what has been behind Liverpool's impressive form this season, he added: "We were coming from a long process with Jurgen Klopp, where the main ideas were already established. Basically, Arne Slot has not come to change everything, but to add his methodology to what we were already working on."
The Reds will be without their talented Argentina international for the next two matches. Mac Allister is banned for Tuesday's Champions League match against Girona after being booked three times in Europe this season.
He will also miss the clash against Fulham next weekend after receiving a fifth yellow card of the season during Wednesday night's clash against Newcastle United.
