Liverpool have opened contract negotiations with Mohamed Salah, according to reputed journalist David Ornstein.
The Egypt international has been in sensational form for the Merseyside giants this term. He has bagged 15 goals and 12 assists from just 21 games.
His form has led to speculation over his future at the Reds, considering his current deal expires at the end of the season.
The likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Ittihad have been linked, but the Reds have now opened contract talks with Salah.
There has been no progress made over a renewal, and it remains to be seen whether they can convince Salah to continue.
The club have also made initial contact with the representatives of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold over new deals.
Just like Salah, their contracts are due to expire next summer. The trio can negotiate pre-contracts with foreign clubs next month.
Liverpool's game against Everton was postponed at the weekend. They are scheduled to face Girona in the Champions League tomorrow.
