Real Madrid could be preparing a seismic transfer offer to try and lure Cole Palmer away from Chelsea.
Chelsea star man Cole Palmer was among the goals again as the Blues beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-3 on Sunday, coming back from 2-0 down in dramatic fashion.
The England international bagged two penalties, making it three goals in less than a week having netted against Southampton in midweek too. Palmer now has 36 goals for the club in 62 outings and continues to find more and more influence.
Emerging as one of the best footballers on the planet, it's no surprise to hear of audacious transfer talk surrounding the 22-year-old. The latest this week comes from Spain with La Liga giants Real Madrid supposedly readying a nine-figure bid to try and lure Palmer away from the Premier League.
That's according to Fichajes, with the outlet claiming that Real Madrid view the former Manchester City man as a 'long-term investment' amid talk of a 'bombshell' transfer bid. There's no suggestion that Chelsea would hear out any bid for the talisman, with Enzo Maresca's side suddenly in a title chase.

Premier League legend slaps £150m price tag on Cole Palmer
Musing on the player's value in October, Premier League legend Graeme Souness wrote in the Daily Mail: "Chelsea paid £40 million for Palmer, but if Real Madrid come knocking next summer and he is still at the level he is showing, I would not be surprised if they got an offer of £150 million for him.
"He's a young man, so we're going early on this call, but if this is Palmer's level and he can be consistently this good, he's going to be a top man.
"He has got silky skills, athleticism and a fabulous football brain. There's simply nothing to dislike about him. He's 22. At that age, no-one ought to be that good. I like his temperament, too."

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur still linked with Ivan Toney
The 28-year-old was reportedly available for £100 million last January but a dip in form and contract standoff over the back end of the season saw the fee paid by Al-Ahli reduced to £40 million. Since making the move, Toney has scored eight times in 17 appearances but is now without a goal in five with Fichajes claiming that the player is struggling for 'motivation' in the Middle East. While in the Premier League, he bagged 36 goals in 85 matches.
Chelsea are named alongside Tottenham Hotspur as clubs that could offer the former Bees forward an immediate swap, despite Toney's contract at Al-Ahli running for another four seasons. It is added that any sale would have to be for more money than the Saudi club paid Brentford this summer, making a profit being a non-negotiable on any potential sale for the Saudi outfit.
