Chelsea star Jadon Sancho has been making waves for Enzo Maresca's men with his latest performance in the Blues' thrilling 4-3 comeback victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The 24 year-old-winger, who moved to Stamford Bridge on a temporary basis from Manchester United in August, has already netted twice and set up five goals in just 10 appearances this season.
One of those strikes was a crucial one in the Spurs clash, where he helped Chelsea recover from a 2-0 deficit with a stunning solo goal. Sancho's confidence was evident as he cut inside onto his preferred right foot and curled a beautiful shot into the far corner from 25 yards out.
This followed another goal in their 5-1 demolition of Southampton on Wednesday, marking two goals in two games for the Englishman. With Ruben Amorim now at the helm at Old Trafford following Erik ten Hag's departure, there are whispers about a potential return for Sancho in January, after falling out of favour under the Dutch manager at the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
Regrettably for the Red Devils, Chelsea have a mandatory purchase clause for Sancho if they secure a 14th place or higher in the Premier League, as understood by Manchester Evening News. Depending on the Blues' final standing, United could bag between £20million and £25m.
Currently, Chelsea are sitting pretty in second place after 15 games, with Maresca's squad potentially contending for the title, not to mention aiming for European spots. With a 17-point lead over Everton in 15th, it would require a significant turn of events for United to retain Sancho beyond this season.

While it's not confirmed that United lack a recall clause in the loan agreement, the presence of an obligation to buy clause suggests it's unlikely for Sancho to make a return to Old Trafford, even if feasible. This implies that Sancho is set for a permanent switch to Stamford Bridge.
Since his transfer from United, Sancho has established himself as a regular starter for Chelsea in the Premier League, expressing gratitude for the warm reception he received at the club. "From the very first day, [Chelsea] made me feel welcome," Sancho shared with Premier League Productions.
"I know I have a lot of people to prove wrong, and I'm just working hard every day in training. When I get my opportunity, I try to show what I can do. Today, I am happy that I scored and helped secure three points for the team. Again, I'm just taking it game by game, and hopefully, I can continue this form. I have to say thank you to the whole Chelsea team and the staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play."
