Manchester City are interested in Andrea Cambiaso and would be willing to invest significantly should Juventus open the doors to a sale.
According toTutto Juve, Manchester City are showing interest in a move for Andrea Cambiaso, with the club ready to invest significantly if he was made available. Pep Guardiola is looking for a full-back who can have an impact in different ways, as the 24-year-old Serie Awide man does suit their requirement.
Manchester City are always on the lookout for the best talents from around, and over the years, Pep Guardiola has been very specific about the profiles he needs. Of late, the club have been looking at some players who have similar styles to each other, although it’s not clear which side full-back they are currently prioritising.
For instance, there are links toRayan Ait-Nouri and Milos Kerkez, with either player known for their attacking style on the pitch from a left-back position. Their athletic profiles are somewhat similar, while the emphasis here might be their attacking output. However, they already have a player on that side of a similar vein in Josko Gvardiol.
Jeremie Frimpong is also of interest, withManchester City recently conducting their due diligence on the Dutchman ahead of the potetial future move. A move for the Bayer Leverkusen man would make sense, as there are big calls to replace Kyle Walker, who has had a miserable season.
Then there’s the big link to Trent Alexander-Arnold, which is more than indicative of their need to bring in a right-back. Should a player who can expertly play both sides become available, Manchester City would be in the hunt, and that’s been the case with Andrea Cambiaso, as Guardiola likes the idea of the 24-year-old Serie Awide man.
Andrea Cambiaso on Manchester City’s radar
Cambiaso has been a revelation for Juventus, as he can play either flank in a full-back or winger role. His big versatility will be a weapon that Guardiola will appreciate, meaning Manchester City would be willing to make a significant investment in the 24-year-old star if he were made available.Real Madrid are also interested in Cambiaso, as there will be other clubs keeping close tabs on his situation.
Cambiaso only signed a new deal back in July until 2029. Juventus, for their part, are not at all thinking about selling Cambiaso, as the Italian is viewed as a long-term star at the club. Hence, Manchester City might have to look away from the pursuit of the Bianconeri man or make a compelling offer that Juventus would think about.
