West Ham United played host to Wolves in the Premier League tonight, and Hammers News have compiled our player ratings.
The first-half ended with the scores level, and whilst West Ham applied the most pressure, it was Wolves who had the best chance, only for Joao Gomes to blaze wide.
Julen Lopetegui looked extremely nervous on the sidelines as his team struggled to create any clear-cut opportunities.
It was a really cagey affair, until the second-half kicked off, when the game began to open up.
West Ham led through a Tomas Soucek goal before Wolves equalised just before the 70-minute mark.

Jarrod Bowen then scored a brilliant goal to put us 2-1 up.
That’s how the game ended, but there will be plenty of players who aren’t happy with their performances tonight.
West Ham player ratings vs Wolves
There was plenty of average, some bad and some good displays from the Hammers players tonight.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Here’s how we rated the players…
Lukasz Fabianki 6
A solid performance from the 39-year-old, but I still think we need to upgrade on our goalkeeping options in January.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka 7
Provided an outlet down our right hand side and defended solidly, expectedly so.
Max Kilman 8
A very strong performance from Kilman – back to his commanding best.
Konstantinos Mavropanos 6
A decent performance from the 26-year-old, but he always looks like he’s got a mistake in him.
Emerson Palmieri 6
I expect so much more from Emerson going forward than we saw tonight.
Edson Alvarez 4
Just didn’t do enough in possession for me. He has a lot of ability with the ball at his feet but he didn’t show it tonight. The Mexican was way too slow and ponderous when in possession of the football. Atrocious performance from Alvarez tonight. If I was Tim Steidten, I’d be looking to sell him in January.
Tomas Soucek 7.5
An extremely poor and ineffective performance from the 29-year-old in the first-half but he came out after half-time and proved just how important he is to this team. A terrific header from the Czech Republic international put us 1-0 after 54 minutes.
Carlos Soler 7.5

The Spaniard looked really good in possession, made some intelligent runs into the box and was always looking to make things happen.
Crysencio Summerville 8
Really bright and lively all game. He is incredibly direct and offers us something that we don’t otherwise possess when he’s not playing. The best player on the pitch for West Ham in my eyes, alongside Jarrod Bowen after the skipper’s second-half heroics.
Jarrod Bowen 8
The Hammers skipper needed to do more inside the final third in the first-half for my liking. He always puts in 100% effort, but he’s a match-winner and he showed that in the second-half. He provided an all important assist and scored a wonderful goal to win us the game.
Mohammed Kudus 6
Not his best performance. Kudus seemed off the pace tonight and was marshalled well by Wolves’ defence.
Subs:
Lucas Paqueta 6
Fairly ineffectual from Paqueta, but he did have some nice touches.
Danny Ings 5
A poor display from Ings – he just looks nowhere near the levels required.
Guido Rodriguez N/A
Jean-Clair Todibo N/A
Aaron Cresswell N/A
West Ham vs Wolves – more work needed
There was some good patterns of play from the Hammers tonight, but we’re still desperately lacking any kind of pace and power in midfield.
We’re crying out for a ball-carrying midfielder and Steidten has to address that deficiency in the summer.
There are too many players underperforming right now – Edson Alvarez being the chief culprit.
Mohammed Kudus is another one who really needs to up his game in my opinion.
However, questions need to be asked of the head coach.
Julen Lopetegui definitely isn’t the man we need to take us to the next level as far as I’m concerned.
Teams with more quality than Wolves would have beaten us comfortably tonight in my opinion.
West Ham put in a solid second-half performance against Wolves, and we were probably deserved winners in the end, but the player ratings prove that we still have big problems.
