West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui gave himself some much-needed breathing space as his Irons side clinched a 2-1 victory over Wolves on Monday night. The Spaniard has been under pressure at the London Stadium following an inconsistent start to the season.
However, goals from Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen either side of a thumping Matt Doherty strike have eased the pressure on the Hammers manager. West Ham are 14th in the table with 18 points from their 15 games, and are now only one point behind Manchester United and two adrift of Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.
