Liverpool have barely signed any players since Arne Slot took over the reins at Anfield Stadium; however, the chiefs at L4 are ready to back their new head coach in the upcoming 2025 transfer interval, and the Reds have been looking at market opportunities to land Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies.
The Merseysiders are looking to revamp the left back position as they look to replace ageing Andy Robertson as the Dutchman looks to replace the pace and power that the Scottish fullback brings to the side.
In Davies, Slot can bring a fullback who is tailor-made for the physical side of the Premier League, and Liverpool is intrigued by the possibility of bringing him to Anfield Stadium, per Graeme Bailey on [Rousing the Kop](https://www.rousingthekop.com/2024/12/07/whats-likely-to-happen-with-bayern-munichs-alphonso-davies-after-liverpool-make-contact/).

Liverpool looking at surprise move for Davies
Davies is not only fast but also technically capable of fitting in a highly technical system that Slot has deployed at L4. And it looked like he was all set to move to Real Madrid; however, the Bayern Munich fullback at the end of the current season, as his contract with the Bundesliga club expires at the end of the season. However, it has emerged that the 24-year-old may not be keen on joining Los Blancos.
Bringing in Davies isn’t only about replacing Robertson; it’s about strengthening the roster at Arne Slot’s disposal for the long term with the Dutchman showing his keenness to make bold moves, and signing Davies would send a strong signal about the prospects of the Reds under the former Feyenoord manager.
