West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen was thrown to the floor by Wolves midfielder Mario Lemina after the two clashed in the post-match handshakes.
Bowen scored the crucial winning goal for the Hammers on Monday night in a tense bottom-of-the-table Premier League clash. The striker found the bottom corner to secure a 2-1 win and dedicated his goal to team-mate Michail Antonio, who is in hospital following a serious car crash on the weekend.
There was a huge amount of relief for the home side after the final whistle and Bowen was seen going to Lemina to shake his hand. The reaction of the Wolves star seemed to anger the England international, who shouted at him before pushing Lemina.
The two then came together, with Lemina spinning Bowen to the ground as he lost his footing. The two were quickly separated by their team-mates, but the scuffle continued for a few minutes as managers Gary O'Neil and Julen Lopetegui came onto the pitch.
Lemina was booked by the referee and was still fuming as he was led down the tunnel by his team-mates. It was a frustrating end to the night for Wolves, who remain 19th in the Premier League table, four points from safety.
Wolves felt aggrieved not to have been awarded a penalty on the night after two shouts were turned down by VAR. Firstly, Emerson Palmieri bundled over Goncalo Guedes, only for VAR to determine that the contact was outside of the area.
Then Konstantinos Mavropanos escaped punishment for treading on the foot of Jean-Ricner Bellegarde in the box. But it wasn't to be for Wolves and Gary O'Neil will now be under huge pressure for his job following another defeat.

They only had themselves to blame for the opening goal as Tomas Soucek got free from his marker Lemina to loop a header into the net from a deep corner.
Wolves equalised when Matt Doherty rifled into the bottom corner on the half-volley from Rayan Ait-Nouri's cross. But Bowen had the final say, cutting inside onto his left foot to bend a finish into the corner past Sam Johnstone.
