It’s safe to say that the 2024 NBA season has not gone the way the Pacers or their fans thought it would.
Currently 10-15 after a woeful effort in a loss to the equally lackluster Charlotte Hornets, the Pacers do not remotely resemble the squad that made a run to the Eastern Conference Finals last season. Their star player, Tyrese Haliburton, has had more off nights than on, as was the case against Charlotte when he finished with only 9 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists, while their defense remains a major issue. After all the expectations and hope the team had placed on them during the offseason, they have so far fallen flat.
After the loss to the Hornets, Pacers fans did not hold back in voicing their disappointment.
