HEREFORDSHIRE football star Jarrod Bown proved pivotal as West Ham beat Wolves on Monday night in the Premier League.
With both sides fighting for their lives in the bottom half of the table three important points were there to be won.
The former Hereford United youngster provided the cross for Tomas Soucek to head his side into a 54th minute.
Wolves equalised to put the game back on a knife-edge heading into the last 20 minutes. However, just three minutes after the equaliser Bowen beat his defender and struck the winner.
After scoring the winning goal Bowen celebrated with the shirt of team-mate Michail Antonio.
His team-mate sustained a broken leg in a car accident on Saturday and was airlifted to hospital.
"It’s been one of those things you never think you’d be involved in," he told [Sky Sports](https://x.com/SkySportsPL/status/1866194095065989531).
"Mic has been here longer than I have and everyone loves him. He's a big character around here.
“Life is bigger than football sometimes and everyone came together. I truly appreciate that and everyone here appreciates that as well. The main thing is now that Mic is well and he’s here to tell the story.
"Saturday was a difficult time but Mic is a warrior and a fighter, he always has been through his career, so I know he will be back stronger from this."
