Mykhailo Mudryk and Romeo Lavia seem the most likely of the injured Chelsea brigade to feature in midweek.

Chelsea continue to ride high as the good results keep on coming ahead of the busy festive run of fixtures in the Premier League and in European action.

A memorable 4-2 victory over Spurs on Sunday afternoon was the latest triumph for Enzo Maresca as his Blues side find themselves in the middle of a title race. Next up for the outfit is a trip to Astana in Kazakhstan before the visit of Brentford on Sunday.

Maresca will be relying on the ability to rotate his players and LondonWorld looks at how the Chelsea first team stars in the treatment room are recovering.

Wesley Fofana - Hamstring

The centre-back has enjoyed an impressive season so far but isn't expected back in action until the New Year. Fofana limped off against Aston Villa having appeared to stand on the ball.

Speaking after that game, Maresca said: "Unfortunately it is bad news. A hamstring problem. These kind of things usually require three, four, five weeks.

“In this moment, we lose him for 10 or 12 games. In the way he was playing, it's a big loss for us but we have more players and we can find a solution.

“It's a big loss. He is doing fantastic but it is normal when you play this amount of games. Fortunately, it was his first injury of the season but we will find a solution."

Potential return date - vs Crystal Palace, Jan 4

Reece James - Hamstring

The full-back continues to see his career beleaguered by injury. James enjoyed a run of three games against Manchester United, Newcastle United and Liverpool but has been absent since that defeat to the league leaders.

His latest hamstring injury happened in training but the latest update from the Chelsea manager suggested that he was still 'weeks' away from a return.

Mykhailo Mudryk - Illness

The Ukraine international is struggling to bounce back from an illness that has kept him out of action since the 2-0 win over Heidenheim in the Conference League - a match in which the forward found the back of the net.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's win over Spurs, Maresca confirmed that Mudryk is still feeling under the weather. He said: “The other one [to miss out] is still ill is Misha Mudryk and the rest are okay.”

Potential return date - vs Astana, Dec 12

Romeo Lavia - Hamstring

Maresca was forced to withdraw Lavia from the action against Tottenham Hotspur at half time. The former Leicester City manager later confirmed that was due to a hamstring worry.

However, it sounds as if that could be a precaution with the 20-year-old walking without pain afterwards. Maresca said: “Unfortunately he felt something in his hamstring in the last minutes of the first half,” the Italian explained. Now, he’s walking without any pain. It was a small thing.

“Since we started, I don’t like to lose players for five, six, seven games in a row. Even if Romeo was playing fantastic, we tried to change because he had a problem.”

Potential return date - vs Astana, Dec 12

Omari Kellyman - Hamstring

The 19-year-old only arrived at Chelsea from Aston Villa this summer but picked up 'another' long term hamstring injury at the beginning of September. The teenager had been set for a loan spell before then but had been working on his recovery with Chelsea since.

Potential return date - Unknown
