AC Milan have reportedly told Man United Theo Hernandez's asking price

AC Milan and France left-back Theo Hernandez will cost Manchester United just over £40million, according to reports from Italy.

Calciomercato have reported that the Italian giants have slapped a €50m (£41.3m) price tag on Hernandez. It's reported that his future at the San Siro is up in the air and Milan could look to cash-in this January.

The report from Italy claims his relationship with the I Rossoneri with United joined by Real Madrid in the race for his signature. Los Blancos are understood to be keen to sign a top left-back with Alphonso Davies on their radar.

With Luke Shaw's continued issues with injuries, United's reported interest in Hernandez. Davies is also said to be on their radar, with his Bayern Munich future still unclear.

Hernandez's contract at San Siro expires in 2026, meaning Milan are in a good position to negotiate a deal. Elsewhere, United and Barcelona are preparing to lock horns for Lille striker Jonathan David.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Reds fancied the Canadian last summer and could reignite their interest in him when the January transfer window openers. However, the report from Spain suggests Barca are looking to open talks over a free transfer.

David can seal a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of France in the new year, and there is currently no sign that he will commit his future to Lille.
