NFL officials were once again the focus of a Monday Night Football game in 2024.
The Dallas Cowboys found another way to lose in heartbreaking fashion at their home venue of AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The Cincinnati Bengals took advantage of a punt the Cowboys blocked but then muffed to give quarterback Joe Burrow and Co. an extra possession and a 27-20 lead with 1:01 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Dallas would turn over the ball on downs on their final drive of the contest, and the Cowboys would drop to 5-8 on the season. They are now three games back from the Washington Commanders for the NFC’s seventh seed with four games left on their schedule.
The NFL officials made a bad call
Joe Burrow
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (9) walks for the locker room after the fourth quarter of the NFL Week 11 game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024. The Chargers won 34-27.
The Bengals’ extra possession after having their punt blocked was karma after league officials missed an obvious facemask on quarterback Joe Burrow on a third down play that would force Cincinnati to have to punt the ball away.

Fans were not amused by the missed call by the officiating crew.
“How do you miss this,” asked a fan
“They need to start taking game checks. It’s literally every single week,” suggested a poster.
“It’s like the 5th time they’ve done it in primetime in the last 6 weeks or so, they’re going to do it again It’s been Burrow multiple times,” wrote another.
“They are rigging it,” posted one fan.
“Seeing it almost every week. Clearly the nfl doesn’t care,” believes one fan.
“It’s not a facemask when Dem Boyz are on Primetime,” wrote another.
