Jamie Carragher was full of praise for one West Ham United player after our 2-1 win over Wolves.
West Ham earned a vital three points – a result that probably kept Julen Lopetegui in a job for at least one more week.
Jamie Carragher spoke very well about the current West Ham situation before the game.
He defended the Hammers fans who want to see better football on a more consistent basis – a rare course of action for a pundit these days!
I think it’s clear to see that Lopetegui is not the man we need at the helm, regardless of the 2-1 win against Wolves.

With Graham Potter and Michael Carrick said to be leading the race to replace Lopetegui, the Spaniard’s days are numbered at the London Stadium.
He was bailed out by a late Jarrod Bowen winner on Monday night, but it was another player who earned rave reviews from Carragher after the match.

MORE WEST HAM STORIES
After the Hammers won the game, Carragher took time to offer huge praise for one Hammer.
Carragher absolutely raved about Tomas Soucek when speaking on Sky Sports after the West Ham vs Wolves clash (December 9th, 10:12pm):
“This guy has been an absolute revelation, he’s scored 12 goals from corners since he joined the club. Only Gabriel has got more than him in the Premier League. Absolutely fantastic that man.“
Carragher is spot on in all fairness.
Soucek has scored important goals for this club time and time again, and he never gives less than 100% effort.
The Czech Republic international is really under-appreciated in my opinion, and he deserves so much more praise than he gets.
Tomas Soucek’s West Ham record with incredible twist
The 29-year-old has to go down as one of our best value for money signings of all-time.

The Hammers paid just under £20 million for the 6ft 4in midfielder, and he’s been worth every penny.
Soucek has bagged 36 goals in 223 games for West Ham.
But here’s the really interesting stat…
Only six of those goals have come when we’ve been winning.
21 have come when West Ham have been level and nine when we’ve been behind in the game, including an incredible 13 match-winning goals!
Tomas Soucek will leave West Ham as a legend in my opinion.
And Jamie Carragher was spot on with his praise of the West Ham star after the Wolves game.
