Mohamed Salah’s contract situation has been one of the main talking points surrounding Liverpool this season.
Even with the Egyptian international’s form reaching new heights under Arne Slot, the 32-year-old’s winger remains a major issue for the Reds, with Liverpool only now offering Salah a new contract with his current deal set to expire next summer.
Although it could still take some time for Liverpool to tie Salah down to a new deal, good steps in the right direction look to be happening behind the scenes at Anfield, with the former AS Roma star too good to be allowed to walk for nothing at the end of this season.
And Alexis Mac Allister has shared how Salah is really acting behind the scenes amid this contract drama.

Salah ‘happy’ at Liverpool as contract talks continue
Speaking to AS, the Argentine international revealed that Salah seems ‘happy’ at Liverpool, with Mac Allister also publically stating that he hopes negotiations between the winger and the Reds go well so that the 32-year-old can extend his stay on Merseyside.
Salah’s form has been nothing short of exceptional this season, and for the likes of Mac Allister, the forward staying at Anfield could be huge in Slot building a new dynasty at Liverpool with the tools left behind by Jurgen Klopp.

What have other Liverpool players said about Salah’s contract?
Salah’s contract situation looks to be coming to a head this month, with the January transfer window the period in the season when clubs can talk to the forward about a potential move in the summer, yet Liverpool players seem intent on keeping the no. 11 around.
Mac Allister noted earlier this month that the entire Liverpool squad wants Salah to sign a new contract, who this season has already managed an incredible 15 goals and 12 assists in all competitions for the Reds.
With Andy Robertson also hinting he wants Salah to stay at Liverpool, the overwhelming opinion from the Reds camp is that they want to see the forward remain at Anfield, with the Egyptian winger simply too good to be allowed to leave next summer.
