‘Different class’: Declan Rice blown away by £22m West Ham player vs Wolves

West Ham United recorded an important win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at London Stadium in the Premier League on Monday evening.

With both West Ham and Wolves in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, the match was of huge significance.

It was the Hammers who picked up all three points from the game.Tomas Soucek opened the scoring for the London club in the 54th minute from Jarrod Bowen’s corner.

Matt Doherty restored parity for Wolves in the 69th minute, only for Bowen to score for the Hammers just three minutes later.

Bowen was arguably West Ham’s best player, and his former Hammers teammate Declan Rice was impressed.

Rice, now at Arsenal, has responded positively to Bowen’s message on Instagram after the match against Wolves.

The £22 million (The Guardian) winger wrote on Instagram: “A win that meant so much more. We are all with you @michailantonio“.

West Ham striker Michail Antonio recently underwent surgery on a lower limb fracture following his car crash.

Jarrod Bowen’s game in numbers

Bowen has established himself as one of the best and most reliable players for West Ham, and he turned on the style against Wolves.

According to WhoScored, the England international winger took three shots of which two were on target and played three key passes.

Bowen also had a pass accuracy of 82.1% and took 58 touches of the ball. The 27-year-old winger also attempted two dribbles.

The forward made two tackles and one interception against Wolves. Bowen also put in four crosses for West Ham.

Bowen has scored four goals and provided four assists in 15 Premier League matches for the Hammers so far this season. He scored 16 goals and gave six assists in the league in the 2023-24 campaign.
