Ronald Araujo is back in the Barcelona squad after recovering from a hamstring injury that required surgery in the summer.
The defender has been included in Hansi Flick’s squad for Wednesday’s trip to Germany to take on Borussia Dortmund.
This is the first time that Flick has been able to call up Araujo, and his return to full fitness will be a big boost for the Catalans.
We’ll have to wait and see if Araujo makes his long-awaited return against Dortmund, as it’s previously been reported he will make the trip but is unlikely to feature.
Flick has also said it’s most likely that Araujo will make his first appearance of the season at the weekend when they team face Leganes in La Liga.
Either way, it’s still great to see Araujo back and ready to go. Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez have enjoyed a strong start to the season but Araujo will be hoping to win back his place in the starting XI.
