What Thiago Silva said to Estevao Willian about Chelsea
His final league game for Palmeiras came against a Chelsea legend in the form of Thiago Silva, whose introduction to the Fluminense side has kept them in the top flight of Brazilian football.
Estevao has claimed that Silva spoke to him about his imminent move to Stamford Bridge, saying that they are more than excited to welcome him into the squad.
He said to ESPN: “There are Chelsea agents here in Brazil who speak to you, Palmer speaks to me on Instagram , there’s (Reece) James who said that if I needed anything I should speak to him.
“Thiago Silva spoke to me in that last game (against Palmeiras, at the Alliaz). He said that the club is top and they are waiting for me with open arms.”
Estevao’s record-breaking 2024 stats
Despite being a teenager, it was clear that Estevao was the best-performing player in the entire Brazilian league last season.
It is expected that Estevao will be in the Chelsea first team squad next season, with there currently no avenue for a loan move away.
