Manchester City are back in European action on Wednesday night with a Champions League away tie against Juventus.
City’s previous outing in the competition saw them blow a 3-0 lead at the Etihad Stadium to draw 3-3 with Feyenoord after conceding three goals in the space of 14 minutes.
Since then, Pep Guardiola’s side have picked up a defeat, a win and a draw in the Premier League, whilst dealing with several injury issues, as they have done throughout the entire season.
On that particular subject, some behind-the-scenes details have come to light regarding the fitness situation of three Juventus players and their potential availability for Wednesday’s game in Turin.

Juventus handed double injury boost ahead of Man City clash
According to a recent report from Tuttomercatoweb, Douglas Luiz returned to training in recent days following a spell out injured, meaning that he could be in contention to play against City.
The report also adds that Juventus are hopeful that fellow midfielder Weston McKennie will be fit enough to feature in Wednesday’s game against the Blues.

However, one figure in Thiago Motta’s ranks who isn’t likely to play a part in the match is Andrea Cambiaso.
This is due to the full-back picking up an ankle injury in last weekend’s match against Bologna.
Juventus’ midfield returnees could concern Pep Guardiola
With Rodri suffering a season-ending injury back in September and Mateo Kovacic getting injured in last month’s international break, the midfield has been a weakened area for City in recent weeks.
Taking into account how Guardiola’s side have conceded 19 goals since November, this showcases how vulnerable City have been defensively and how easy it has been for opponents to play against them.
Now that Juventus could be set to welcome two midfielders back to their team on Wednesday, this could be a big concern for the City manager in terms of how his side are able to deal with potentially being overpowered in midfield.
