Player ‘living a dream’ at Crystal Palace insists Eagles ‘deserved’ 3 points against Manchester City

Daniel Muñoz is of the belief Crystal Palace should have picked up three points against Manchester City at the weekend.

The right-back opened the scoring for Crystal Palace and Manchester City had to come from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park.

Muñoz has been speaking to ESPN to express his delight at scoring against Manchester City.

The 28-year-old insists Crystal Palace should have got more than a point against Pep Guardiola’s side and his comments are relayed by [AS](https://colombia.as.com/futbol/colombianos-por-el-mundo/munoz-encantado-en-crystal-palace-estoy-viviendo-un-sueno-n/) in Colombia.

_“It’s a pleasure to be able to score. I think I contributed to scoring an important point at home against a great rival,”_ he said.

_“We wanted the three points. I think we deserved to have the three points. But hey, this is football. You get a point against a great team in the Premier League and in the world. I am very happy and satisfied with all the performance of my teammates.”_

The draw against Oliver Glasner’s side meant Manchester City have only one win in last nine games in all competitions.

Meanwhile, the Colombia international is enjoying life at the Premier League side, who have allowed him to fulfil his dream.

The fullback arrived at Crystal Palace from KRC Genk in the winter 2024 market and has been a regular since then, making 34 appearances so far. He scored his first goal for the club against Newcastle United earlier this month.

Crystal Palace are just above the relegation zone and the South American insists he and his teammates are working hard to help the Eagles climb up.

_“When I came here, I knew I had always dreamed of playing for this opportunity. I’m living a dream, I’m living this process day by day with the best will, with the best attitude, with the best intensity. I always prepare myself to face the best,”_ Muñoz explained.

_“I think that work has paid off. I work with honesty; I work to give the best to my club and my teammates. I hope that in football that good work has always been reflected._

_“That’s why we prepare day by day. Some days we get results, some days we don’t. But we always strive to do our best. But we always strive to do our best for Crystal Palace and not get ourselves in those difficult situations. We always want to move forward and we’re going to work hard.”_
