On November 18th, AS reported Manchester United are bidding hard for Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies and his agent is trying to find the best possible deal for him.
The left-back’s deal expires at the end of this season and hasn’t agreed a new contract with the Bundesliga side so far.
Last week, Bild journalist Christian Falk reported Manchester United have requested the 24-year-old’s agent for a meeting in January. He also said the agent isn’t pleased with the renewal negotiations and wants to listen to offers from the Red Devils and Real Madrid.
Falk again took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide the latest on Bayern’s efforts to secure the fullback’s future.
The journalist claims the Bavarian club are putting pressure on the Canada international to sign an extension before Christmas. They want this to be sorted out soon to stop the January meetings with Manchester United and Real Madrid.
The player’s side are ‘still hesitating’ and will continue to negotiate with Bayern next year.
As we’ve noted before, there’s a very good chance Manchester United, or at least the club’s name, is being used to drag more money out of Bayern Munich.
