Trent Alexander-Arnold is dominating the headlines due to his exploits on and off the pitch for Liverpool this season.
The 26-year-old has relished the prospect of working with Arne Slot and has been in stunning form for the Reds as they lead the way in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
Off the pitch, his contract situation has emerged as the talk of the town, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
Real Madrid are interested in signing Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer, but the boyhood Scouser is yet to decide his future.
And if reports are to be believed, the Liverpool vice-captain is taking a leaf out of Roberto Firmino’s playbook.

Firmino left Liverpool in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer as he decided to join Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League after eight years at Anfield.
The Brazilian’s contract ran out 18 months ago but when he was in negotiations with Liverpool, he didn’t entertain talks with any other clubs as he focused solely on dealing with the Reds.
A report from GMS states that Alexander-Arnold is also prioritising Liverpool amid interest from Real Madrid and will not entertain talks with the Spanish giants – or any other potential suitors – unless he fails to agree an extension.

David Ornstein of The Athletic confirmed that Liverpool have made an opening offer to Alexander-Arnold to tie down his future, with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah being offered new deals.
However, it remains to be seen if the 26-year-old agrees to the terms on offer as his contract continues to wind down.
Alexander-Arnold also wanted by Manchester City
While Real Madrid’s interest is well documented, in recent weeks, Manchester City have also signaled their desire to sign Alexander-Arnold.
Pep Guardiola’s side are looking for a replacement for Kyle Walker, who at 34 has entered the twilight years of his career.
Man City have already made contact with Alexander-Arnold’s representatives, but considering the rivalry between the two sides over the years, we can file this in the ‘not happening’ category.
