Everton have endured a strange week with their emphatic victory over Wolves the last game they played.
The weekend’s Merseyside Derby was cancelled due to Storm Darragh and the safety issues which the weather provided.
But Everton enjoyed their weekend off with their five-point cushion on the bottom three remaining intact.
There could be significant changes at Everton for the next Merseyside Derby with plenty going on in the background at Goodison Park.
The biggest potential change of all is going to be the proposed takeover and there is now a ‘likely’ date being put on its completion.

It now just feels like a matter of time before the Toffees are under new ownership with the Friedkins seemingly just a matter of days away from getting the keys to Goodison.
Although an immediate change is unlikely, it has been claimed Dyche’s style is not loved by the Friedkins who could look for a change.
The Friedkins are already eyeing January signings for Everton and they are much-needed considering the turbulent start to the season the Blues have endured.
January could be huge for Everton
The New Year is likely going to mark a fresh start for Everton with the Friedkins narrowing in on their takeover.
But there are still some extremely difficult fixtures ahead of Everton before they can think about the January transfer window.
These games could well send the Toffees into the bottom three ahead of the turn of the year which will put a very different perspective on things.
And it is not just players who could be coming and going with The Friedkins eyeing David Moyes to replace Dyche in the dugout at Goodison.
