After a third consecutive defeat for Wolverhampton Wanderers, this time coming at the hands of fellow strugglers West Ham United, Gary O’Neil’s side are now four points from safety.
Wolves only had nine points to show after 15 games played, a total which neither O’Neil or the club will be content with.
Wolves sold two of their biggest talents in the summer, Max Kilman and Pedro Neto – something O’Neil pointed to after Monday’s 2-1 defeat, however, performances still haven’t been good enough.
That being said, TBR Football understands that O’Neil will get at least one more game in charge of Wolves against Ipswich Town this weekend.
Gary O’Neil gets another chance vs Ipswich as Wolves seek replacement
Wolves are not ready to part company with O’Neil and he will still be in charge when newly-promoted side Ipswich arrive at Molineux on Saturday afternoon.
The Englishman is aware that the club are assessing his situation, a subject he was often asked about following Monday’s defeat at the London Stadium.

And although O’Neil is safe for now, Wolves are doing their homework on potential replacements moving forward.
But ultimately, TBR have been informed that O’Neil will be in the home dugout this weekend.
O’Neil still insists that he’s ‘not concerned’ over Wolves future
As mentioned, O’Neil was questioned over his own position after losing to West Ham, a defeat that many thought would be the final straw for either manager.
The 41-year-old maintained his position that he wasn’t fearing for his job, and appeared to go on the defensive a touch, mentioning the quality that Wolves sold in the summer.
O’Neil said: “No I’m not concerned, really proud of the group, really proud of everything they’ve given me, everything they have done again tonight, I can only ask them to do their best.
“The club has been through an incredible transition between now and the window when I joined, when Julen [Lopetegui] left, the amount of Premier League players lost between then and now, we have replenished them with young players from leagues which aren’t similar to the Premier League, some of them aren’t ready to help us yet.
“We have signed players that will be good for the future but lost an awful lot. It makes it harder every year.”
