Camera Catches Cowboys Player’s Tunnel Reaction After ‘Monday Night Football’ Mishap

One can only imagine the frustration Dallas Cowboys defensive back Amani Oruwariye is feeling following his huge blunder in Monday night's 27-20 loss at AT&T Stadium to Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. Oruwariye's mistake late in regulation opened the door for the Bengals to steal a win in Arlington.

Following the game, Oruwariye was seen walking to the Dallas locker room together with his teammates, and with a towel covering his head. Oruwariye didn't say a word but it was clear that he was not in a great mood, as his error in judgment proved to be costly for the Cowboys.

With just a little under two minutes left in the game and with the score reading 20-20, the Cowboys managed to block Cincy's punt. That would have given the Cowboys an ideal field position to either go for a touchdown or attempt a field goal. But Oruwariye seemingly couldn't resist trying to field the bouncing ball, which he failed to do.

By touching the ball, it became "live," and that resulted in a recovered ball for the Bengals. Cincinnati made sure to capitalize on the Cowboys' mistake, as Burrow later fired a 40-yard touchdown toss to Ja'Marr Chase that broke the tie and virtually handed the Bengals the victory.

The 28-year-old Oruwariye had also just been activated from the injured reserve and added to the roster before the Bengals game. Prior to Monday's contest, Oruwariye missed five games due to a back injury he suffered in Week 8's meeting with the San Francisco 49ers.
