Bryan King expects Kosta Nedeljković to leave Aston Villa on loan in January.

The ex-Villa scout thinks the 18-year-old, who has shown his youth by making some “silly” mistakes this season, could see his footballing education benefit by making a temporary switch in the upcoming transfer window.

There is hope that Nedeljković could one day become a top player for the Villans.

However, he has only managed six appearances in all competitions this season, with Emery recently admitting that the right-back might leave on loan in January [via Birmingham Live, 6 December], although the Villa boss claims a final decision has not yet been made.

However, King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – expects that the right-back will be sent out.

“Young players need to gain confidence, and the only way to do that is by playing matches,” King said.

“Therefore, I suspect Nedeljković will leave on loan in January, especially if he isn’t going to be guaranteed first-team football at this moment in time.

“If he goes on loan and performs then he can be brought back into the club, and his career can move forward in that way. Loan moves act as a great education for players. Therefore, why wouldn’t it work for him?”

Kosta Nedeljković to leave Aston Villa on loan in January?

Nedeljković is a player who Villa clearly see a lot of potential in. However, it doesn’t seem as though there will be many first-team chances for him in the West Midlands this season, especially considering some of Matty Cash’s recent displays at right-back.

Therefore, the young Serbian should be sent out on loan, as there is no point in him sitting around on the bench and missing out on valuable playing time.

However, Emery won’t want the player to join another club where he also won’t be playing regularly.

As a result, the club should already be looking for the perfect loan move which would allow Nedeljković to continue developing through regular first-team football.

In other Aston Villa news, one player could be sold to one of the club’s Midland rivals in a January transfer twist.
