Liverpool take on Girona tonight in what could be a fascinating UEFA Champions League tie in Catalonia.
The Reds head to the Estadi Montilivi having had the weekend off after their Merseyside Derby clash with Everton was postponed due to adverse weather conditions, with Arne Slot’s side given a few more days to recover.
With Alisson Becker back in the Liverpool squad for the first time in nearly two months, the Reds could afford to go full-strength tonight against Girona with Fulham coming up next for the Merseyside giants on Saturday.
Yet Girona manager Michel has now shared what he believes makes Liverpool so difficult to play against under Slot.

Michel says Liverpool ‘can hurt’ teams from any position
Speaking to the press ahead of tonight’s Champions League tie, Michel noted how Liverpool have mastered the art of being able to create dangerous passages of play from virtually any area of the pitch at any moment.
Mohamed Salah’s form this season has been credited with this skill, with the Egyptian international arguably the best player in Europe having found himself in the right place at the right time for Liverpool to score a goal or to assist a teammate.
And for Michel, Liverpool’s ability to score goals from nothing is something that is proving hard to deal with this season for rival teams, with the Reds going into tonight’s game against Girona with a plan or two up their sleeves.
Michel said when asked about Liverpool’s form this season: “Liverpool can hurt you in any phase, even in they that don’t seem dangerous in the moment. That forces you to play a perfect match and hope that they don’t have their best day.”

What else has Girona manager Michel said about Liverpool?
Girona hosting Liverpool will go down as one of the La Liga side’s biggest nights in their history, with the Catalan club one of the surprise teams competing in this year’s Champions League.
And Michel is seemingly excited for the occasion, with the Girona manager labelling Liverpool as the best team in the world with the Reds top of the Premier League and Champions League standings heading into this evening’s encounter.
Indeed, Liverpool will want to make it six wins from six in Europe in Catalonia tonight, and Girona could be in for a tough game if the Reds get off on the right foot early on against their La Liga opponents.
