'Correct...absolutely spot on' - Ally McCoist agrees with what Jeff Stelling has said about…

West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen scored a brilliant goal on Monday night as the Hammers won 2-1 against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League at the London Stadium.

A football fan asked Ally McCoist on talkSPORT whether Bowen is good enough to play for a top club.

The popular football pundit hailed Bowen as a “terrific” player, saying the Hammers man is definitely good enough to play for a Champions League club every year, but it is very demeaning to say that he is too good for West Ham.

Jeff Stelling said that Bowen does not need to leave the club to prove his class. He is very happy at West Ham, and McCoist completely agreed with what his colleague said about the 27-year-old left-footed winger.

“He is comfortable. He is happy at West Ham at the moment,” said Stelling.

McCoist responded: “Correct.”

Stelling added: “He loves life around London. He’s got young twins. Those are the things he might have to balance in the future.”

McCoist further said: “100 per cent. You cannot underestimate the importance of how happy he is away from you because it contributes to being relaxed on the pitch and enjoying his football, enjoying his life. You’re absolutely spot on.”

Difficult to lure Jarrod Bowen out of West Ham

Since joining the Hammers in the January window of 2020 from Hull City, Bowen has become a key player for the club.

He has grown into a top-class player and has represented his country as well. Bowen has made over 215 appearances for the Hammers and has scored 65 goals for them in all competitions.

The big question is how long West Ham can hold on to him. Bowen has shown loyalty to the club, and he is really happy there.

He has a contract at West Ham until 2023, and the Hammers are expected to demand a high transfer fee for him if any club want to buy him.

Newcastle United showed interest in signing him during the summer, but given their financial situation, they are unlikely to match West Ham’s asking price for the player, which should be easily over £60 million.
