Following the postponement of last weekend’s Merseyside derby, Liverpool were handed a well-deserved rest ahead of a return to Champions League action.
Arne Slot’s men are looking to maintain their 100% record in the competition as they prepare to face Spanish outfit Girona on Tuesday evening.
The Reds have already overcome the likes of Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan to see them sit comfortably at the summit of the league table in the newly formatted tournament.

Any rest is a rarity at this time of the season but the interference of Storm Darragh may have proven to be a blessing.
It allows more time for a number of stars to return to the fold ahead of their rescheduled clash against Everton while also providing time for batteries to recharge as the festive schedule beckons.
Despite not playing, it can be argued Liverpool won the weekend with both Manchester City and Arsenal dropping points.
Chelsea were the only side in the top four to win this weekend closing the gap on the Reds to four points.
The Reds currently sit six points ahead of Arsenal and eight ahead of Pep Guardiola’s City, whilst also having played a game less.

Arne Slot handed an injury boost
The Reds have been handed a boost on the injury front too with Diogo Jota and Alisson Becker returning to full training on Monday afternoon ahead of their trip to Spain.
Alisson has been absent since Liverpool’s victory over Crystal Palace at the start of October after sustaining a hamstring injury.
As for Jota, the forward suffered a rib injury in Liverpool’s clash with Chelsea at Anfield six weeks ago, with a return highly anticipated due to Darwin Nunez failing to really have an impact so far this season.
Federico Chiesa missed out on the session due to illness as he eyes a return from a period of time sidelined.
