West Ham United appointing Julen Lopetegui to replace David Moyes in the summer now looks like a really poor decision.
Julen Lopetegui has failed to oversee any kind of progress whatsoever at West Ham.
In fact, we have regressed as a team, and that’s saying something considering how poor we were during the second half of last season.
And it has been claimed that Michael Carrick and Graham Potter are being lined up to replace the Spaniard.
There is no future with Lopetegui at the helm.
The football he deploys is utterly turgid, and the Hammers lack any kind of footballing identity under the 58-year-old.
In my opinion, it’s time for him to go, and it seems like the West Ham head coach is walking on very thin ice at the London Stadium right now.
Julen Lopetegui will be worried after Sky Sports’ West Ham update
The Spaniard has failed to implement any kind of feel-good factor at the London Stadium.
A dark cloud has gathered over us and the 2-1 win over Wolves did little to shift it.

And now it seems like the end could be nigh for Lopetegui.
According to a report from Sky Sports, Lopetegui is still under intense pressure, despite Monday night’s 2-1 win over Wolves.
It is claimed that ‘results will be closely monitored over the upcoming games’, and rightly so.
I personally feel that Lopetegui should have been sacked before the Wolves game. Why he is still in charge at the London Stadium truly boggles the mind.
It actually could be argued that Lopetegui should have been moved on after the 4-1 defeat to Tottenham back in October.
Those in power at the London Stadium are said to be ‘not getting carried away with a win over a struggling Wolves side’.
It is also suggested that the Hammers owners want to see more consistency in the team’s results and a big improvement defensively.
If the West Ham board are that unhappy with so many different things, I just don’t get why they haven’t pulled the trigger and handed Julen Lopetegui his P-45?
The longer he remains in charge of the Hammers, the worse things will get for us, I have no doubts about that.
Defeats to Bournemouth and Brighton in our next two fixtures will surely spell the end for Lopetegui.
