Liverpool resume their Champions League campaign this evening when they take on Girona at Estadi Montilivi. The Reds will be looking to make it six wins from six and cement their place at the top of the group stage standings.
Arne Slot's in-form side swept aside another La Liga outfit - holders Real Madrid - in their last European outing. That followed wins over German duo Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig as well as Italian teams Bologna and AC Milan.
Girona, in contrast, have won just one of their five group games and are currently down in 30th place and three points behind Real Madrid, who occupy the final knockout play-off round spot.
But the Reds will not be underestimating the Catalonia club, who surprised all to finish third n the Spanish top flight last season behind Barcelona and Madrid after at one stage threatening a title tilt.
However, Liverpool boss Slot is boosted by the return of goalkeeper Alisson Becker for what could be the Brazil international No.1's first appearance in two months.
And while the Reds do have a number of other absentees and a packed programme of fixtures to contend with, they will want to get the job done tonight and secure their place in the last 16 without the need for a play-off.
Ian Doyle and Theo Squires are covering tonight's contest for the ECHO. Stick with them for all the build-up to kick-off at 5.45pm, including team news when it drops at 4.30pm, followed by live updates and all the best post-match reaction and analysis.
