Manchester City have been handed a double boost ahead of their Champions League clash with Juventus on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola's side will head to Turin to face the Italian giants as they look to return to winning ways in the competition. City were held to a 3-3 home draw against Feyenoord last time out, despite leading 3-0 at one stage.
Ahead of the clash, Phil Foden and Mateo Kovacic both trained with the squad. Foden missed City's two matches last week due to bronchitis, while Kovacic had been absent for the last four Premier League games after returning from the international break with an injury.
Should Foden be fully fit to feature against Juve, that will be a huge boost for Guardiola. Despite struggling to reach the standards that he set last season for the Blues, Foden has three Champions League goals and an assist so far this season.
In addition to the pair, injuries continue to be an issue for City. Manuel Akanji came off against Nottingham Forest in midweek and is a doubt for the European clash, while Nathan Ake and John Stones appear to be ruled out with their injuries that are more long-term.
Meanwhile, Rodri and Oscar Bobb missed training. The latter suffered a leg fracture in the days before the Premier League season and Rodri won't return any time soon after suffering a season-ending knee injury against Arsenal in September.
"The reality is I will have few players to rotate in this type of period," Guardiola said about his team's injuries. "When we arrive in the Treble season and domestic treble it was because everyone was there.
"We have in those positions, except James [McAtee], Jack and Jeremy the other ones [on the bench] were from the academy. And it's going to happen for the next games, the next three weeks, one month it's going to happen the same.
"It's not a question of luck, it happens. It's life, it happens, accept it, and this is the challenge. That's why the challenge has been given."
The Blues are currently 17th in the Champions League standings. having only won two games thus far.
