He struggled at Rangers but Manchester United could now be set to offer him a new deal.

Amad Diallo spent the second half of the 21/22 campaign on loan at Ibrox but performances didn’t live up to the hype that earned him a move to Old Trafford from Atalanta. He did win a Scottish Cup but Diallo returned to Man Utd having not made much of a Rangers impact.
A loan at Sunderland rejuvenated his chances and now he has become a regular for Man Utd this season, featuring heavily under new boss Ruben Amorim. Overall, he has played 21 times with three goals and six assists, with a former scout claiming a new contract is in the pipeline.
Mick Brown, who used to operate as scouting chief at the Red Devils, says the negotiations are near the top of the club agenda, which could cap off a stunning rise from Rangers struggler to Man Utd model of consistency. “He went on loan to Sunderland and did well there, but came backed and looked like a promising young player but one who wasn’t quite ready. He’s added aggression to his game with the way he runs at people and fights to win the ball back.
“He sets an example for some of the other players despite his age, and he’s making improvements. The lad is an asset not just for now, but they view him as an important player for the future too. So, from what I’m told, they’ve made good progress in the talks and that’s one I’d expect to be completed sooner rather than later.”
