Manchester United might be ready to let Marcus Rashford go as soon as the January transfer window, having reportedly agreed that he's not off-limits for sale.
The Red Devils are apparently set to part ways with their homegrown star, which would give Ruben Amorim's rebuilding kitty a hefty injection. The Portuguese gaffer has fielded Rashford in all five of his initial matches at the helm of United, but only twice has he made the starting eleven.
Rashford has found the back of the net three times, including a double in the 4-0 drubbing of Everton, averaging a goal every 84 minutes under the new management.

However, it seems Rasmus Hojlund is Amorim's top pick for striker, while Alejandro Garnacho has kept his regular spot alongside the indispensable skipper Bruno Fernandes.
Amorim will be eager to start shaping the squad to his liking as early as January, but he's up against financial constraints set by the Premier League and UEFA regulations, reports the Express.

United are treading on thin ice due to the escalating debt piled on the club by the Glazer family and splashing out £600million on players for Erik ten Hag in just over two years. There's a lingering sense that they'll have to sell before they can buy again at the dawn of Amorim's tenure, much like the summer.
Rashford reportedly isn't safe from INEOS' cut-throat approach and could find himself on the market this winter. As per Sky Germany, United are willing to let Rashford go next summer but could OK his departure in January if the right offer comes in.

The Old Trafford chiefs have reportedly recognised Rashford's progress under Amorim, but they've also agreed he's not indispensable. As a homegrown talent, any transfer fee for Rashford would be pure profit, which could significantly alleviate the club's current financial woes.
