The Champions League has had a major revamp this term, with four-team groups dropped in favour of a Swiss-style system in a 36-league team.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Aston Villa and all the other participants will be facing three more opponents in the league stage, having already played five games.
Now, Opta’s Supercomputer has predicted where each Premier League club is predicted to finish in the Champions League table.

Liverpool tipped to top Champions League table as Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester City also backed to finish in top 16
Opta has predicted that Liverpool will finish top of the table with a predicted points tally of 21.03.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been backed to finish third with a tally of 16.91 points.
Aston Villa and Man City are lower down the table but still predicted to finish in the top 16, giving them a seeding for the play-offs.
The Villans are tipped to finish 13th, with a 14.18-point tally, while the Citizens are backed to finish 15th on 13.27 points.
Villa are predicted to find themselves in a playoff tie with Real Madrid, who Opta has predicted to finish in 21st place.
Meanwhile, Celtic are predicted to finish in 18th place, which would mean they’d face Man City in the play-off round in February.
Champions League qualification rules
To qualify automatically for the round of 16 in March, teams must finish in the top eight of the table.
Those in ninth to 24th enter a round of two-legged play-offs in February, with the winners taking the other eight spots in the last 16.
Those who finish ninth to 16th will be seeded for the play-offs, so will have the second leg at home. Those from 17th to 24th will be unseeded, so have the first leg at home.
The team that finishes ninth faces the team in 24th in the play-off round. Tenth plays 23rd, 11th plays 22nd and so on.
Teams that finish anywhere from 25th to 36th will be eliminated from this season’s competition, with no dropping into the Europa League.
